Mokume Gane

Mokume Gane is a mixed-metal laminate with distinctive layered patterns. This style of metal manufacturing dates from feudal Japan and the literal translation is "Wood Grain Metal" or "Wood Eye Metal". The style and look of patterns that can be created by manipulating the metal is only limited by the craftsman’s imagination.
