Mission Statement
Lynn Hueffed Metal Works offers handcrafted jewelry and custom pieces of original designs. Precious metals, stones, pearls, beads and various organic materials are incorporated to produce unique jewelry with a sense of style and timelessness.
Philosophy
Jewelry has been, for the ages, a form of adornment, self expression and a means to declare one’s love and affections. It has been treasured regardless of the owner’s lifestyle and passed down to future generations with the thought of remembrance. I create, with the precious elements of the earth, beautiful objects that will bring a feeling of specialness to the owner. My customers will own a piece of treasure that can one day become an heirloom bringing that same feeling of specialness to the wearer.
Product
The products I offer to my customers are gold and silver jewelry of original designs. Sterling silver along with 14K and 18K gold are the primary precious metals I work with. I may incorporate into the pieces precious, semi precious stones, pearls, beads or other quality organic materials such as bone, wood, shell or glass. Custom jewelry pieces, specifically designed around a customer’s requests would incorporate the same materials and depending on the individual’s vision may include something one wouldn’t expect to see which makes the piece all the more meaningful. Jewel boxes are my newest addition. Each box is entirely unique since the materials tend to dictate the end result. Exotic woods and sterling silver are the primary materials. The form of the box can be either organic or structured in nature. Stones, glass or bone may be added to create depth and character. These boxes are labor intensive creations and as such dictate limited quantities. I have received pieces of fine and costume jewelry from my grandmother and great grandmother as I’m sure many others have. These are little treasures to us because of the sentimental value they hold. Some are timeless but some are dated in style. I transform this cherished jewelry into wearable pieces without loosing their essence and no longer need to be tucked away in a drawer, but worn and enjoyed with thoughts of our grandmothers.
